Today’s Snap-On Makers and Fixers 250 at the Milwaukee Mile was halted after 91 of a scheduled 250 laps due to persistent rain and impending darkness. Arrow McLaren’s Pato O’Ward started on the pole following engine change penalties for Team Penske’s Scott Mclaughlin, David Malukas and Chip Ganassi Racing’s Alex Palou.
O’Ward currently leads Meyer Shank Racing’s Felix Rosenqvist, Ed Carpenter Racing’s Alexander Rossi, Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden and teammate Christian Lundgaard. Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Mick Schumacher currently runs best among the rookies in 17th of 25 cars.

Rain would delay the start of the race by more than an hour.
O’Ward held the lead for the opening 23 laps from the pole. Shortly after, Rosenqvist completed a surge from fifth on the grid to wrangle the lead from him as the leaders began working lapped traffic.
After the opening sequence of pit stops were complete, O’Ward held the lead over Rosenqvist. On Lap 65, the first caution of the afternoon due to ongoing rain. After 27 laps under the yellow flag, the red flag was brought out as the rain continued.
Following a lengthy rain delay and sunset drawing closer, the decision was made to postpone the remainder of the race until Sunday morning.
