Fresh off the 1-2 finishes in both qualifying and the race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course over the weekend, Arrow McLaren confirmed their driver lineup for the 2027 NTT INDYCAR SERIES campaign.
Joining the organization for the full season alongside Mid-Ohio winner Pato O’Ward will be 2026 Indianapolis 500 winner Felix Rosenqvist, who begins his second campaign with Arrow McLaren (2021-2023) after three seasons with Meyer Shank Racing.
The Varnamo, Sweden native earned four of his seven career poles during his three seasons with Arrow McLaren and started third at the Indianapolis 500 in 2023.

In 2026, Rosenqvist started on the pole at Long Beach and won a thrilling Indianapolis 500 over David Malukas in the closest finish in the race’s history.
“I’m excited to return to Arrow McLaren next season and reunite with Pato, of course, and also(Team Principal) Tony (Kanaan), (McLaren Racing CEO) Zak (Brown) and the crew and engineers I worked with previously,” Rosenqvist exclaimed in today’s announcement.
“There are a lot of familiar faces, and we’ve got an incredible lineup with Scott joining and Ryan returning for the 500. I think our collective experience will be a huge benefit. I’ve still got work to do to finish this season strong, but I’m looking forward to what’s to come at Arrow McLaren.”
After joining Chip Ganassi Racing midway through the 2002 CART FedEx Championship Series season when PacWest Racing folded, Scott Dixon has compiled one of the most remarkable records in the history of INDYCAR.
58 of his 59 career victories and each of his six INDYCAR Championships have been with CGR. Both are second all-time behind A.J. Foyt. Dixon has amassed 32 career poles in that stretch, including five at the Indianapolis 500, second only to Rick Mears.

“Joining Arrow McLaren in 2027 is an exciting next step in my career,” Dixon noted.
It was a big decision for myself, for my family, and I’m looking forward to contributing to what the team, Zak and Tony are building there. As a New Zealander, being part of (McLaren founder) Bruce McLaren’s legacy will be special; his spirit and grit are still very much rooted in that team, and I’m excited to carry that on.”
In addition to fellow New Zealander Bruce McLaren, the Brisbane, Australia-born driver joins a list of Kiwis to drive for McLaren that includes 1967 Formula 1 World Champion Denny Hulme.
Four weeks after being announced as the new Sporting Director, Ryan Hunter-Reay has announced his return to the driver’s seat with Arrow McLaren for next year’s 111th running of the Indianapolis 500. This year, Hunter-Reay started 22nd and finished 32nd after a Lap 18 crash with Katherine Legge.
“I have unfinished business with the 500, and so does this team,” he noted.
Dixon (2008) and Rosenqvist (2026) joining with 2014 winner Hunter-Reay gives Arrow McLaren three former winners at next year’s race alongside O’Ward, who has finished Top Six in all but one of his starts at the “500”, including runner-up finishes in 2022 and 2024.
“Our focus is on Indy; learn from the past, and our number one goal is to win the Indy 500. We have ample amount of time to be fully prepared in working toward a big month of May in 2027 racing alongside Pato, Scott and Felix. The four of us certainly know our way around the Speedway. In the meantime, working with the team full time as Sporting Director offers a unique opportunity to have a direct impact on our ambitious development plans for the 2027 season, the Indy 500 and beyond.”
Like Hunter-Reay (2010), Dixon (2014-2017 and 2021-2022) and Rosenqvist (2023) have also worked alongside Kanaan previously.

“It’s never an easy decision, but when you have the opportunity to bring drivers of this caliber into your team, you take it seriously,” Kanaan noted of today’s announcement.
“Scott’s accomplishments speak for themselves, Felix is this year’s 500 winner and consistently fast and competitive and Ryan has the experience and the capability to win the 500 again, without a doubt. Add that talent to what we have with Pato who’s knocking on the door of his own 500 win, and we’re the threat we’ve been building up to be in the championship and the 500.
Current drivers Nolan Siegel and Christian Lundgaard will not return to the organization in 2027.
“We’ll keep our focus on Christian and Pato’s championship fight and Nolan’s work toward top-ten finishes for the remainder of the season. Christian and Nolan have been awesome teammates and they’ve given a lot to help us build up this team the past two years.”
