Day 1 of Indianapolis 500 Qualifying Canceled

Persistent rain would prevent all scheduled on-track activity today at the 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Due to the cancelation of Day 1 Qualifying for the 110th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge, the schedule for Sunday has been modified.

Sunday On-Track Schedule:

9:30-10:30 a.m.: Practice, split groups (FS2)

12-4: single-car, four-lap qualifying: Positions 13-33 locked in, Top 12 advance (FS2)

4:00: Fast 12 (positions 7-12 locked in) and Fast Six- Positions 1-6 determined (FOX)

Here is the order for Sunday’s first round of qualifying as determined by Friday evening’s traditional random draw:

Monday practice after qualifying is set for 1:00 p.m. ET on Monday, May 19. Final Practice will be held on Carb Day (Friday, May 22) at 11:00 a.m (FS1). with the annual Pit Stop Competition at 2:00 (FOX).
