Continuing on his performance during the Open Test, A.J. Foyt Racing’s Caio Collet was fastest among the quartet of rookies making their Indianapolis 500 debut in 2026. During the afternoon session, Collet notched a best lap of 223.194 mph (40.3237 seconds).

Katherine Legge completes refresher program
Due to mechanical issues experienced during yesterday’s allotted session, HMD Motorsports with A.J. Foyt Racing’s Katherine Legge was unable to complete her veteran refresher program.
In order to be allowed on track without any speed restrictions, Legge and the No. 11 team were given an hour in between Wednesday’s full-field sessions to complete the 15 required laps at 210-215 mph.
In that session, Legge ran a total of 33 laps, posting a best lap of 212.782 mph (42.4202 seconds). After finishing the Furst requirement, Legge was allowed in the afternoon session to finish phase 3 of her refresher (15 laps at 215+ mph).
During the ensuing full-field session, Legge was 33rd and posted a best lap of 219.841 mph (40.9386 seconds).
