Warmup Results Combined Practice Results Starting Lineup
Before the start of this afternoon’s Honda Indy 200 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course , Scott Dixon was fastest in the final 30-mintue warmup prior to the green flag for Sunday’s race.
A six-time race winner at the 2.258-mile, 13-turn permanent road course in Lexington, Ohio, the Chip Ganassi Racing driver turned a best lap of 1m06.2555 (122.689 mph). He starts 13th in this afternoon’s 80-lap race.
Teammate Alex Palou, who is the defending winner of this race and starts on pole this afternoon, was second, .145 of a second back. Andretti Global’s Colton Herta made it a 1-2-3 finish for Honda and rolls off fourth.
Scott McLaughlin was fourth in his Team Penske entry, best among the Chevrolet engines. The 2022 Mid-Ohio winner starts sixth (penalty to Marcus Armstrong).
Armstrong finished fifth in the 30-minute session and will start 11th following a six-place grid penalty for an unapproved engine change.
CGR also boasted the best rookie in the field as Linus Lundqvist was 11th on the time sheet.
