Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing finalized their driver lineup for the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season.
Mick Schumacher will make the jump to IndyCar, driving the No. 47 car this season alongside teammates Graham Rahal and Louis Foster;
“I am delighted to confirm today that I will be competing in the INDYCAR SERIES next year with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, taking part in the full season,” Schumacher exclaimed in Monday’s announcement.
Schumacher’s previous motorsports accomplishments include the 2020 GP2 (F2) Championship, 44 Formula One Grands Prix and three Word Endurance Championship (WEC) podium finishes.
He is the son of seven-time Formula One World Driving Champion Michael Schumacher and the nephew of Ralf, who won six Grands Prix in Formula One.
“I think I speak for everyone at RLL when I say how thrilled we are to welcome Mick to the team and to INDYCAR,” Team Co-Owner Bobby Rahal added.

“His test with us on the IMS road course was exceptional – he impressed every single team member. Everyone walked away from that event determined to do what we could to bring Mick into our program. We’re thrilled he’s chosen to join us, and we can’t wait to get to work.”
Schumacher previously tested with RLLR at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course last month.
He joins Dennis Hauger (Dale Coyne Racing) and Caio Collet (A.J. Foyt Racing) in the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES rookie class.
