Final Practice Results Starting Grid
Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon would lead Saturday afternoon’s final practice session at the Milwaukee Mile in West Alis, Wisconsin. Ahead of tomorrow’s Snap-On Milwaukee Mile 250, he would post a fastest lap of 156.712 mph on the 1.015-mile oval.
Dixon starts 14th following a nine-place grid penalty for this morning’s engine change.
After matching his career-best by qualifying second, A.J. Foyt Racing’s David Malukas was .2771 off a second back of Dixon, the fastest Chevrolet behind Dixon’s Honda.
Arrow McLaren’s Nolan Siegel was third and rolls off 17th. Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden was fourth and will start in seventh.
Meyer Shank Racing’s Marcus Armstrong starts 15th after he finished the session fifth.
Despite an engine change that kept him out of practice this morning, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Louis Foster was best among the rookies in the session as he looks to maintain his lead in Rookie of the Year standings.
Following his practice crash, Meyer Shank Racing’s Felix Rosenqvist returned for practice but was 27th in the running order for the session.
After winning pole for tomorrow, Alex Palou was fastest during the split 30-minute “second lane” runs designed to help “rubber in” the lower grove. His best lap during that 15-minute run was 155.305 mph (23.5279 seconds)
During the second-line run earlier in the afternoon, A.J. Foyt Racing’s Santino Ferrucci got loose exiting his pit stall and clipped the right-rear of Devlin DeFrancesco, causing both to m its practice time for repairs.
The session would end following Juncos Hollinger Racing’s Sting Ray Robb making contact with the outside wall in Turn 2.
