Andretti Global’s Colton Herta, the winner of last year’s Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto, will start from pole for the second consecutive year at Exhibition Place.
It is Herta’s second pole of 2025, 16th of his career and third at the 1.786-mile, 11-turn Exhibition Place temporary street circuit. After winning twice in 2024, Herta is still looking for his first trip to victory lane in 2025.
Andretti Global has won pole for three of four street course races in 2025 and the organization now has 61 during their time in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.
Round 3-Fast Six

Herta earned pole for Sunday’s 90-lap race with a best lap of 59.832 seconds (107.461 mph) on the 1.786-mile, 11-turn course.
Joining him on the front row is points leader Alex Palou of Chip Ganassi Racing. Palou”s best qualifying effort in four Toronto races left him .2758 of a second back of Herta.
Completing a 1-2-3 start for the Honda-powered entries was Meyer Shank Racing’s Marcus Armstrong, who matches his career-best qualifying effort in third. Three-time race winner Will Power was the lone Chevrolet entry in the Fast Six, qualifying fourth.
On Row 3 are Graham Rahal of Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing and Herta’s teammate Kyle Kirkwood. Kirkwood has won the last two races on street courses.
Round 2-Fast 12

Kirkwood (59.99271 seconds-107.29 mph) was again fastest in Round 2. Joining him in the run for the pole were Power, Herta, Rahal, Palou and Armstrong.
Missing out on the Fast Six would be Louis Foster, Marcus Ericsson, Rinus VeeKay, Pato O’Ward, Scott Dixon (will serve a six-place engine change penalty) and Callum Ilott. The will start seventh through 12th.
Round 1
Kirkwood (59.90969-107.327 mph) was fastest in Saturday’s opening group for qualifying. He would advance to the second round along with Power, Dixon, Ilott, Rahal and Foster.
Unable to advance were Nolan Siegel, Scott McLaughlin, Felix Rosenqvist, Christian Lundgaard, Conor Daly, Santino Ferrucci and Sting Ray Robb. They will line up on the inside of rows 7-13.

Armstrong (1m00.0989-106.984 mph) was fastest in Group 2. Joining him in the Fast 12 were VeeKay, Palou, Ericsson, Herta and O’Ward.
Missing out on the next round were Kyffin Simpson, David Malukas, Josef Newgarden, Robert Shwartzman, Christian Rasmussen, Alexander Rossi, Devlin DeFrancesco and Jacob Abel.
Abel will be the lone occupant in row 14, with the other drivers in rows 7-13.
