Practice 2 Results Combined Practice Results
On Saturday morning, Arrow McLaren’s Christian Lundgaard was fastest in the 45-minute practice ahead of this afternoon’s qualifying for the XPEL Grand Prix at Road America.
Lundgaard posted a best lap of 1m45.3412 (137.177 mph) on the 4.048-mile, 14-turn permanent road course in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The Danish racer posted his best result at this race course in 2023, when he started and finished seventh. Lundgaard has three podium finishes in 2025, including a runner-up effort at Barber Mottorsports Park last month.
Points leader Alex Palou of Chip Ganassi Racing was the fastest Honda, second to Lundgaard’s Chevrolet by .2504 of a second. Palou has won here twice in six previous starts (2021 and 2023).
2016 and 2024 race winner Will Power of Team Penske was third on the morning, with Friday practice leader Kyle Kirkwood and his Andretti Global teammate Colton Herta rounding out the Top Five. Mirkwood heads into the race of consecutive victories at Detroit and Worldwide Technology Raceway.
Louis Foster of Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing was best among the rookies in 17th. In all, eight frivers improved upon their best lap from yesterday’s 75-minute session.
After multiple red flags yesterday afternoon, the session was completed without major incident. The focus for the 27-car field now turns over to qualifying for Sunday’s 55-lap race.
