Another spot on the grid for the 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season was filled on Thursday.

A.J. Foyt Racing confirmed Santino Ferrucci will return to the team for a third season. In 2023, the Woodbury, Connecticut native began his time as driver of the No. 14 car.

“I’m thrilled to continue with Santino in the number 14 car,” said Team President Larry Foyt.

“We have really gelled over the last two seasons and he’s a big part of our recent success. This continuity is great for the team and I believe the pairing of Ferrucci and Malukas next season is a powerful combination for AJ Foyt Racing.”

“I think Larry’s done a great job building the team so they are now in a position to win an Indy 500 and compete for championships,” Ferrucci added in Thursday’s announcement.

“Everybody that’s there is what made this team’s amazing turnaround. We’ve all put a lot of time, energy and hard work into this program and I really want to see it through, not just as the driver but on a personal level too.”

With Sunday’s Big Machine Music City Grand Prix at Nashville Superspeedway the lone race left in 2024, Ferrucci is 10th in point standings.

He has finished in the Top 10 in 10 of 16 races, including fourth-place efforts at both races of the Milwaukee Mile doubleheader two weeks ago.

Ferrucci also earned the organization’s first pole in more than 11 years at Portland last month.

At last year’s Indianapolis 500, Ferrucci earned his career-best finish of third.

“I’m happy that Santino’s back,” said A.J. Foyt.

“We got to know him more and he got to know us and I think it made a difference. He did a great job this year and I hope we have an even better year next year.”

Ferrucci will team with David Malukas, who signed a multi-year deal with Foyt last month.
