Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Christian Lumdgaard was atop the speed chart following the afternoon practice for Tomorrow’s Sonsio Grand Prix.

Last year’s pole winner turned a best lap of 1m08.5588 (126.230 mph) as the 45-minute session closed on the 2.439-mile, 14-turn permanent road course on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Lundgaard was runner-up at the summer IMS Road Course event in 2022.

Five-time IMS Road Course winner Will Power of Team Penske was best among the Chevrolets after Lundgaard’s Honda.

Power, who was third in opening practice, clocked a lap .1311 of a second behind Lundgaard.

August winner Scott Dixon Of Chip Ganassi Racing was third. Power’s teammate Scott McLaughlin and Meyer Shank Racing’s Felix Rosenqvist completed the Top 5.

Ed Carpenter Racing’s Christian Rasmussen was best among the rookies in 13th. Morning practice leader Colton Herta was 15th.

After a morning filled with three red flags, the afternoon was slowed by just one red flag.

Just prior to halfway in the session, Jack Harvey spun in Turn 10. After getting a push from the AMR INDYCAR SAFETY TEAM, the Dale Coyne Racing driver found his way back to pit road.

With two practices complete, the focus now turns to qualifying for tomorrow’s 85-lap race.
