Warmup Results Combined Practice Results Starting Lineup
On the eve of his record-breaking 319th consecutive start, Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon led the final 30-minute practice before tomorrow’s Gallagher Grand Prix.
The July 2020 winner on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course turned a best lap of 1m10.9851 (123.694) on the 2.439-mile, 14-turn permanent venue.
Points leader and teammate Alex Palou, who qualifed ninth, was second, .1514 of a second back. He has won the last three races on permanent road courses, including a win at this track in may.
After leading his team in qualifying (11th), Team Penske’s Scott McLaughlin finished third, best among the Chevrolet entries.
Following his first pole in six years and a front row sweep for the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing team, Graham Rahal finished 17th in the 30-minute session.
Agustin Canapino of Juncos Hollinger Racing was best among the rookies in ninth after qualifying 24th.
