Since being added to the schedule in 2021, the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix on the Streets of Nashville has become one of the most anticipated events on the NTT INDYCAR SERIES calendar. Included in the myriad of changes is a new date, the event will be held on September 13-15, 2024. INDYCAR’s season awards ceremony
Ahead of this weekend’s race on the 2.1-mile, 11-turn temporary street circuit, some notable change shave been announced for 2024. For next season, the course will be shortened to seven turns and incorporate the Tennessee capital’s famed Broadway street, as well as 1st and 4th Avenue. The Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge will be incorporated as part of the new layout as well.
The changes will be made on the heels of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans plans for a new stadium to be constructed were announced. The franchise’s current home, Nissan Stadium has served as the backdrop of the circuit in it first three runnings.

“Next year’s race in Nashville will be an unbridled celebration of the most fierce and competitive motorsport on the planet, set against the backdrop of an innovative and breathtaking stage that includes one of the premier global entertainment districts in the world. We’ll have more to share soon on an entire weekend of activities, both on and off track, that fully taps into the growing reach and relevance of an ascendant and marquee city.”
WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, which hosted the season finale from 1989-1996 as well as 2019 and 2022. The track will host the 2023 finale will remain on the calendar. The full 2024 schedule will be released at a later date.
“WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca remains a beloved, historic venue for our teams, drivers and fans in an important and scenic market,” Miles continued.
The 2024 Music City Grand Prix will be the first INDYCAR finale on a street course since the 2021 season, when the Long Beach event served as the finale.
