Practice 2 Results Combined Practice Results

Continuing their early pace from yesterday, Andretti Autosport found themselves occupying the first two spots on the speed chart. In the second practice for Sunday’s Honda Indy Toronto, it was Colton Herta leading the way.

The 2022 pole winner and runner-up finisher notched a best lap of 1m00.5657 (106.159 mph) on the 1.785-mile, 11-turn temporary street circuit at Exhibition place in Ontario, Canada.

After leading yesterday’s practice, teammate Kyle Kirkwood finished second, .0315 of a second back of Herta. Despite a small amount of rain during the 45-minute session, the practice went on with only a single disruption.

With less than 10 minutes remaining, Arrow McLaren’s Felix Rosenqvist crashed in Turn 5, prompting the first red flag of the weekend.

Honda would boast the four quickest times of the session, bookended by points leader Alex Palou, who is in search of his fourth consecutive victory for Chip Ganassi Racing.

Arrow McLaren’s Pato O’Ward was fifth, best among the Chevrolet entries. 2022 race winner Scott Dixon was eighth. Palou and Dixon’s teammate Marcus Armstrong was 19th, best among the five drivers making their debut at Toronto.

Tom Blomqvist, who makes his first INDYCAR appearance this weekend, was 27th for Meyer Shank Racing.

Here’s a look at this weekend’s remaining on-track schedule (all times are track local-EDT). Stay with IndyCar1909 for the latest on the Honda Indy Toronto.
